Miriam Bevis is the program manager of the Kunga Stopping Violence Program. This is a prison through care program based in Alice Springs that works specifically with Aboriginal women in Central Australia who have been incarcerated and have a history of legal involvement in their use of violence. The Kunga program have partnered with local researchers from Menzies and Prof Judy Atkinson to help put a research framework around the findings of their daily work with the women who participate in the Kunga program.
