Independent Researcher, Member of Children by Choice Board
Katherine is a Social Worker and Legal Practitioner and has worked in the domestic violence sector for the past decade gaining extensive experience in providing frontline responses, as well as research, policy development and community education. Katherine’s research has focused on reproductive coercion and the impact of criminalised and restricted abortion on women experiencing intimate partner violence. She has also been actively involved in the push to reform Queensland’s abortion laws, including providing evidence before the recent Parliamentary Inquiries. Katherine has undertaken collaborative research projects with Children by Choice and the T.C. Beirne School of Law Pro Bono Centre.
