Mother and Survivor of DFV, WalkingWithDads program, Qld

Jess is a mother of three children, aged 9, 6 and 5, who are everything to her. She is also a survivor of domestic violence and a survivor of the child protection system. Jess’s focus is on telling her story of how her ex-partner’s destructive behaviours impacted her and her children. She also explains how the system can make a difference depending on whether those involved truly understand domestic violence.

Jess is committed to telling her story to improve the system for other families and to give hope that life can improve for mothers and children if fathers are held accountable and have the right support to be better Dads.
