Dr Kristin Diemer is a sociologist at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She specializes in data collection, management and analysis for measuring violence against women and family violence. Her focus is on applied social research for change in policy and practice. Recent projects include measuring prevalence, attitudes toward violence and reporting rates. She is the co-author of several major Australian studies, including Australians’ Attitudes to Violence Against Women and The Victorian Family Violence Database – 12 year Trend Analysis of reporting rates.
