Co-Chair, National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples
Dr Jackie Huggins AM FAHA is a Bidjara/Birrigubba Juru woman from Queensland. She is currently the Co-Chair of the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples. Her work has spanned over four decades whereby she was awarded for her work in reconciliation, social justice, women’s studies and literacy. Her previous Boards and Commissions have included Co-Commissioner for the Inquiry Into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children From Their Families, AIATSIS, Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, Co-Chair Reconciliation Australia, Telstra Foundation.
