Harry has national and international standing as a leading criminologist specialising in Indigenous people and the justice system. He has led research on important issues such as Indigenous over-representation, family violence, youth justice and community justice. He recently completed major studies innovations in Indigenous family violence (for ANROWS), fetal alchol spectrum disorders and youth diversion, and night patrols and is currently working with the WA police on enhancing diversionary mechanisms. His work is underpinned by a ‘decolonising’ approach to methodology, theory and practice.
