ANROWS is pleased to announce its online National Research Conference.

What are the new dates for the online conference?

The ANROWS National Research Conference will now be held online on 1 to 5 March, 2021.

Why will the conference be held online?

Hosting the conference online will ensure delegates can participate safely from work or home, no matter the COVID-19 context. The online offering will encourage mutual learning and connection opportunities and offer flexible attendance options.

What is the new conference format?

  • The conference will be set over five days with a maximum of 2.5 hours of sessions held each day.
  • Program sessions will be structured around thematic conversational panels, presentations and workshops, with various opportunities for engagement.
  • There will be structured opportunities for networking, including one-on-one engagements and group discussions.

How do I register for the online conference?

Where can I see the conference program?

You can view and download the conference program on this webpage, by clicking the ‘Program’ icon on the left hand side menu.

Are you offering support for attendance? 

Yes, a limited number of tickets have been made available for individuals who require support to attend the conference. Priority will be given to individuals or groups who do not have funding or organisational support to attend. Please contact conference@anrows.org.au for more information.

How do I enquire about supported registration?

A limited number of supported tickets will be made available for individuals who require support to attend the conference. Priority will be given to individuals or groups who do not have funding or organisational support to attend. To express interest in a supported position, please contact conference@anrows.org.au and share a brief outline of your circumstances.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, we will be recording all sessions and these will be available to view on your secure user portal shortly after each session. Of course, there will be benefits to attending sessions live if you wanted to engage with the platform or contribute to discussions.

Who do I contact for support with my registrations?

If your questions are not answered below, please email conference@anrows.org.au for support with your registration.

How do I set up my profile?

Upon logging in to the virtual event platform, go to the “Account” tab on the top right of the menu and select “Edit Profile”. You’re encouraged to add a photo, a short biography and links to your social media accounts.

How do I change my registration details?

Log in to the virtual event platform, go to the “Account” tab on the top right of the menu and select “Edit Profile”. You can make changes to your profile and registration here.

Can I request an invoice to pay via bank transfer?

Unfortunately, ANROWS will not be accepting bank transfer payments for this event. Payment will need to be made by card.

Can I make a booking on behalf of someone else?

If a staff member is making a booking on behalf of someone else, we recommend they use the email address and user details of the conference participant they are booking for.

I already have a registration for the 2020 in-person conference. Do I need to re-register?

Yes. Because the conference has moved online, and registration fees have been reduced, in-person conference registrations have been cancelled and you will be refunded the full registration cost. You are invited to re-register to the online conference via the online registration portal. Please see “Refunds for the 2020 in-person conference” below.

What does the move to online mean for my current registration?

The ANROWS National Research Conference, originally planned for 28 to 30 April, 2020, will now be held online from 1 to 5 March, 2021. All existing registrations for the in-person conference have been cancelled and will be fully refunded. You are invited to re-register for the online conference.

Do I need to buy new tickets/re-register for the online conference?

Yes. Because the conference has moved online, and registration fees have been reduced, in-person conference registrations have been cancelled and you will be refunded the full registration cost. You are invited to re-register for the online conference.

Can I transfer my current registration to the online conference?

Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer current registrations across to the new conference. Instead, you are invited to re-register for the online conference. You can register for the online conference here.

How do I receive my refund?

You will have received an email sent to the address you used to make your original booking. In this email you have been invited to provide your details for the refund to be deposited into your nominated bank account.
