ANROWS Conference POSTPONED due to coronavirus (COVID-19)

In response to the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19), ANROWS has postponed its 2020 National Research Conference.

This delay is an important measure to protect the health of conference delegates. It is also a necessary step towards “flattening the curve” to protect our community’s most vulnerable, and to ensure our health systems are able to cope with the pandemic.

Why has the Conference been postponed?

Postponing the conference is in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and is necessary to protect the health of conference delegates. It is also a step towards “flattening the curve” of the virus’s spread, which will contribute to protecting the health of our community’s most vulnerable, and ensuring our health systems are able to cope with the influx of patients.

As many of our sector’s leaders and decision-makers are planning to attend the conference, this delay will also minimise the impacts of coronavirus on important organisations and services, and on their ability to support women and their children who are experiencing violence.

What are the new dates for the Conference?

The new conference dates have not yet been confirmed. A new date will be planned and announced on this page as soon as possible. Note, however, that a considerable delay is highly likely.

All current registrants will be notified of the new date by email. If you wish to receive these updates, please subscribe to ANROWS Notepad.

Will the same speakers attend and will the program be the same for the new dates?

We will endeavour to secure all our excellent speakers and panellists for the new conference dates. However, until the new dates are confirmed, it will not be possible to confirm that the program is unchanged.

Do I need to buy new tickets/re-register for the new dates?

If you are already registered for the April conference dates, your current tickets will automatically transfer to the new dates.

Registrations for the conference have been temporarily closed. Once we have confirmed replacement dates, we will re-open the portal for new registrations.

Can I get a refund for my registration?

If you currently hold tickets but are unable to attend the conference on the new dates, you will be eligible for a refund of your registration.

Can I get a refund for my flights and accommodation?

Delegates who have booked accommodation at the Hilton can cancel without incurring a fee by contacting the Hilton, Adelaide directly. You can reach them via email on ADLHI_GROUPS@hilton.com or by calling +61 8 8217 2110.

For enquiries about flights, please contact your airline directly.
