Dr Conroy is a Research Fellow at the Translational Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University. Her research addresses the health inequities experienced by marginalised populations including people with experiences of homelessness and substance use problems. She has a particular interest in the comorbidity of substance use and other mental disorder, life-course approaches to understanding trauma and resilience, and service integration and accessibility for people with high and complex needs. Elizabeth is also a registered Psychologist, initially trained in drug and alcohol but most recently has provided trauma counselling to asylum seekers living in the community.
