WEAVERS (Women and their children who have Experienced Abuse and ViolEnce: Researchers and advisors), University of Melbourne, Vic

A survivor of family violence and childhood abuse, she remains anonymous for safety reasons and contributes anonymously in all of her public work. She currently studies social work at RMIT University, and does a mix of paid and voluntary lived–experience and peer work in homelessness, drug and alcohol, mental health and family violence areas. She is a WEAVERS member, working with the Experts by Experience Project, and has a background in lived experience and participatory action research. Her passions include animals, art, caring for her family with disabilities, music, swimming in the ocean and creative writing.
