2018 Plenary session: Conceptualisations of violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
The panellists will discuss conceptualisations of violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including how and why the drivers and manifestations of violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are different from the primary drivers and manifestations of violence against women in general. Panellists will discuss the implications of these differences for strategies under several outcomes of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.
