Nadine Wathen, PhD, is Professor and Canada Research Chair in Mobilizing Knowledge on Gender-Based Violence at Western University, Canada, and is a Research Scholar at Western’s Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children. She is a Member of the College of the Royal Society of Canada. Her research examines responses to gender-based violence, interventions to reduce health inequities, and the science of knowledge mobilization, with a focus on the use of research in policy and practice.

Drawing on her deep expertise in evaluation and knowledge translation and exchange, Nadine’s keynote presentation will form a touchstone for the conference theme, by asking “how do we know if it works?”
