Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety Limited (ANROWS) is an independent, not-for-profit company established as an initiative under  the Council of Australian Governments’ (COAG) National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022 (the National Plan). Its role is to build evidence and support the application of evidence in policy and practice to achieve the National Plan’s vision.

ANROWS’s mission is to deliver relevant and translatable research evidence which drives policy and practice leading to a reduction in the levels of violence against women and their children. Through the National Research Agenda, ANROWS is supporting the production of a cohesive and comprehensive evidence base relevant to policy and practice aimed at achieving the National Plan outcomes.
